Bengaluru police mistook traffic jam for CAA protest, fires water cannon on vehicles

The CAA protests across the country are growing in number and major cities have witnessed the protests. Bengaluru is no different. But in a bizarre incident, some innocent people had to suffer today.

Bengaluru police fired water cannons at a traffic jam mistaking it to be a CAA protest by citizens. Police fired the water cannons in the Silk Board area of Bengaluru where traffic is a major concern. The traffic was not moving at all, and the people were not able to run away from the water cannons.

In fact, the cannons hit the same people for almost 30 minutes and everyone in the traffic got a proper bath. Engineers were happy as they had not bathed for the last 20-25 days, but the other citizens had a torrid time. When the firing stopped as the policemen realized their mistake, the policemen did not provide towels to dry up the citizens. That was a major issue shared by a citizen present there to the fauxy reporter.

People reached their office late and many were fired from their jobs too.
