BCCI allows Bumrah to bowl with a runner to avoid injury

Big news is coming in from Ireland. BCCI has reportedly allowed Jasprit Bumrah to bowl with a side runner.

Jasprit Bumrah who made a successful comeback from injury on Friday against Ireland, almost injured himself as he and Ravi Bishnoi chased a ball to the boundary.

To keep Jasprit Bumrah injury-free for Asia Cup and World Cup, Rohit Sharma had requested BCCI to allow Jasprit Bumrah to keep a side runner to take run-up on his behalf. On Sunday BCCI approved the request of Rohit Sharma.

Speaking to The Fauxy, Rohit Sharma said “He might lose his speed a bit but atleast he’ll be safe from.. I forgot..”

It’s the first time in the history of cricket when a runner will be used for a bowler.
