Angry with his appraisal employee gives bad review to ‘The Office’ as he mistook it to be his office

This week, all episodes of the Indian version of ‘The Office’ were released on Hotstar. As with all other web series there were mixed reactions to the show with some appreciating the way it is adapted for the Indian audience while some finding out flaws.

But a shocking story has come to light that an employee mistook the show to be his actual office and gave bad reviews. There were in fact many instances of people bashing the show on the internet and this was even before the show’s release. It is a classic case of hating something produced in India without even giving it a shot.

Sanil Srivastava, an employee working in a Mumbai office had recently got his appraisal letter, and just like the previous year, he was not happy with it. And just like the previous year he thought of resigning from the company but then thought that would be a greater risk. So just like last year, he did nothing.

It was only when he was surfing on the net, he found many people writing negative comments on ‘The Office’ that he decided to let his anger out. He gave bad reviews to ‘The Office’. He was not satisfied with just one review, he in fact, created 10 accounts and gave bad reviews.

It was only after he realized that nothing has changed much in his office after his negative feedback that he realized he did a mistake. There are many cases like the above one. When the actual reviews of ‘The Office’ came out it was a surprise to many as given how the first seasons of ‘The Office’ remakes often fail to leave a mark, the Indian version is clearly an exception in the trend. The show totally deserves appreciation for its fresh jokes and nicely written Indian characters.
