The Met Gala is an annual fundraiser hosted by the Costume Institute of New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, which is shortly called the Met. The gala, helps to fund the Institute’s exhibitions and its acquisitions of new items. While the theme for the event was “American independence”, a lot many celebrities were seen totally out of context outfit. The most bizarre was Kim Kardashian, who was wearing a black dress covering herself 100%.
Kim Kardashian outfit caused a major blunder at the event when a burqa clad woman was mistaken for a celebrity and Kanye West held her hand thinking her Kim.
The Burqa clad woman was covered from top to bottom and mistakenly entered the event, after security guard thought she’s some celebrity too. Later it was learned that the woman ran away from Afghanistan after it was taken over by Taliban a few days ago.
