Kolkata: In an unfortunate incident a pedestrian got killed after an SUV cruising at the speed of 100mph ran over him. The injured was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. CM Mamata Banerjee has ‘announced’ an Ex gratia of ₹2 lacs for the deceased’s family.
Prima facie people suspected that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol, however, cops are dismissing such rumors and have managed to find a political connection behind the incident. The police report states that during the accident the mobile phone of the accused dropped from his hand and was recovered at the crime spot. On unlocking the phone, cops found a renowned social media app Twitter open on his phone. Shockingly a BJP supporter’s timeline was open on the app. Police have concluded that the accident happened because the accused was reading the BJP supporter’s Tweets while driving. As a result, police have made the first arrest in the case and the BJP supporter has been arrested.
On further investigation, it was revealed that the BJP supporter was followed by PM Modi which further added to the controversy. The Congress party is now demanding the PM’s resignation. Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi slammed Modi Ji on a TV debate and pointed out that it’s not the first instance where a pedestrian was killed due to Modi Ji. She revealed that Modi Ji also follows Salman Khan.
The incident also got the attention of social media users who are now requesting Twitter India to suspend accounts of all BJP supporters so that such crimes can be avoided in future.
