Diwali is incomplete without soanpapdis and fire crackers. Though fire crackers still retain their charm, soanpapdi is becoming more and more clichéd and people get irritated when they receive soanpapdi from friends or company.
Facebook has come to the rescue for these type of situations in life. Integrating the fact that a person feels tensed and that is harmful to his health when he receives soanpapdi box, Facebook has come with an algorithm or let’s say they have added a feature where people who don’t receive soanpapdi can mark themselves safe. Most companies still give away soanpapdi boxes as gift on Diwali and this is a reality check for them to start exploring other gifting options.
The feature has already been activated by Facebook and people have started using the same. There were not many in India who marked themselves safe as most of them got soanpapdi boxes this time too, but we are hearing about isolated incidents where some people have used this option.
Speaking to one such person Mr Sanil Banerjee, Fauxy reporter gathered “Yes, I am extremely happy with this feature as now I can let my near and dear ones know that I am safe. This time my company was innovative and gave us a box of dry fruits, I immediately marked myself safe on FB”
We will bring to you more such interesting stories on soanpapdi with only 2 days left for Diwali.
