DMRC To Offer Library Services In Metro; Plans To Keep Only Chetan Bhagat Books To Avoid Theft
In an attempt to further enhance its services, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced to launch mini-libraries that will find a place inside metro coaches. This has received considerable appreciation from passengers, especially from the people who commute long distances via metro on a daily basis.
Aman, a passenger who travels daily from Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar, says, “This is a very good initiative and would save a lot of battery on my phone as people will now read books instead of watching Tik Tok videos or playing games like Ludo or PUBG.”
“It can even reduce the crowd in metros if in future DMRC decides to make it compulsory for commuters to read the books,” he added bragging about the popularity of Chetan Bhagat books.
It has been widely observed that most Indians develop irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) whenever they view a positive development initiative from the government, especially from railway authorities, which was quite evident with the attacks on Tejas Express and Vande Bharat Express. So this time DMRC has decided to be a step ahead of such miscreants and has decided to keep only Chetan Bhagat books in the mini-library as they have been proved to be immune from theft in the past.
“There were a few incidents when thieves took away Chetan Bhagat books but returned them soon after. It even helped us catch some thieves when they came to return the books,” said a police official to The Fauxy.
