In a fresh attack on the BJP-led NDA, Rahul Gandhi accused NDA leaders of not having democracy as NDA leaders are not allowed to abuse each other like INDI Alliance. Speaking to The Fauxy, Rahul Gandhi said, “Narendra Modi and Amit Shah run NDA like dictators, where no one from NDA is allowed to criticize them or their chosen leaders. But in INDI Alliance, I am supposed to be the leader, but our alliance partners like Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, and now even Omar Abdullah abuse me day and night, and I also abuse them in return, but nothing happens because we believe in democracy.” But when The Fauxy correspondent asked if they really believe in democracy, why Congress and their alliance partners like Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee lodge FIRs against their critics using the police of the state under their control and behave like dictators, Rahul Gandhi said, “These critics are BJP supporters, so we have to use dictatorial language because they only understand that.”
