Big news is coming in from the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, where the top leadership is about to announce the renaming of the party from Bhartiya Janta Party to Bheem Janta Party.
Reportedly, the decision was made after analyzing the Haryana exit poll results, where Congress appears to be sweeping the election despite the BJP’s appeasement politics.
The BJP hinted at the party’s renaming when the Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Kiran Rijiju, mentioned Baba Saheb 40 times during his 30-second speech.
Speaking to The Fauxy, a senior BJP leader said, “It’s not enough. We renamed the UPI app BHIM, we amended the SC/ST Act, but they still don’t vote for us. Hence, to show that we are for them, we are renaming the party.”
The Fauxy sources suggest that “even if the renaming doesn’t appease the Dalit community, the BJP is likely to merge with the Congress party, and signs of this alignment have already begun”.
