CM Yogi To Rename Diwali To Christmas In Order To Reduce Pollution Caused By Firecrackers

Yesterday, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath made an announcement which is likely to become the prime time debate in various news channels soon. Yogi while addressing a rally in Telangana, just ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, said that he has decided to rename the festival of Diwali to Christmas so that it will make all the crackers pollution free or green.

The cracker ban by the Supreme Court during Diwali this year, was criticised by Hindus but was supported by people with a left-leaning ideology, who are often seen enjoying crackers during Christmas and New Year Eve. In order to lure Christian votes, Yogi made the statement, thus giving a huge relief to hypocrites who were unable to find justifications or explanations on how crackers burnt during Christmas and New Year were good.
