NDTV Deletes Tweet After Mistakenly Calling A Terrorist, Terrorist
In a major blunder, the Indian news media company, NDTV on Monday called a terrorist terrorist. However, after a massive outrage by its followers on social media, NDTV took down the tweet and re-shared the news without the word terrorist and used the graduation and skillsets of the terrorist as adjectives.
The employee who tweeted from the official handle of the channel has given show cause notice and NDTV has given clear instructions to all the employees to adhere to the guidelines of NDTV and name the accused only if he’s a Hindu.
“He was an IITian, He was from IIT Bombay, He was a chemical engineer, and yet all he chose was a word terrorist” NDTV head lambasted the employee while giving him show cause notice.
Reportedly, the employee who had tweeted has replied to show cause notice with a medical certificate which says that the employee hasn’t been mentally well of late.
NDTV has also put up a poster of its own tweets at the office main gate to make its employee more aware about how to cover the story.
