We are not promoting entrepreneurship in Bengal to prevent people from suicides: Mamta

The body of VG Siddhartha, founder of India’s largest coffee chain Cafe Coffee Day, was found today morning. Siddhartha, who is the son-in-law of former Karnataka CM and BJP leader SM Krishna, had been missing since Monday evening. At a time when politicians should address the real issues, they are again using events for gaining political mileage. Mamta Banerjee, the West Bengal CM has defended her government for not promoting industries and entrepreneurship in the state as that prevents suicides in the state.

Mamta said that if a person is killed in violence it’s still ok but my government will not allow people to commit suicides. And that is the reason that the Bengal government has rejected all proposals of setting up industries in the state.

Mamta spoke to team fauxy and said, “Your team can go and find for yourself that there is no industry in the radius of 100 kms from where we are sitting right now. Industrialization makes people commit suicide as the recent event in Karnataka has shown. In fact the nearest place from Kolkata where you can see industry is Vizag. We had a foresight about this type of events and I will make sure in future too that no industry is setup here.”
