A day after the Taliban took control of Kabul, the airport in the Afghan capital witnessed a mad rush of people eager to leave the country, creating a stampede-like situation. However, amidst this chaos there’s hope coming out of this situation.
Addressing the UN Security Council, UN chief Antonio Guterres said “We are expecting more Malalas as the Taliban takes complete control of Afghanistan. More Malala’s would mean more focus on girl education”
US President Joe Biden appreciated “I have been getting a lot of criticism of f late, for pulling out of Afghanistan, but it is for larger good. Talibanis might be terrorists but they are still human and we want to see if they are changed. Taliban will only create more opportunities for social workers like Malala.”
