Elon Musk the CEO of electric-car maker Tesla, spent hours talking to Joe Rogan on his podcast show and spoke about a range of topics varying from electric cars to artificial intelligence. However, the hot topic of public discussion was regarding Musk smoking a puff of marijuana during the show. As soon as pictures of Elon Musk smoking weed got viral and broke the internet, shares of Tesla plummeted and two senior company executives quit.
Elon Musk broke his silence two days after the controversy, during the launch of his new electric car that runs on pencil cell. Musk announced an upcoming ambitious project under which Tesla aims to launch cars that can run on marijuana. The project is expected to roll by 2022.
“The other day I was just trying to estimate the energy potential that one puff of marijuana has and to my surprise, I was on cloud 9,” said Elon Musk.
Indians, whereas, are giving full credit of the invention to PM Narendra Modi, who once mistakenly referred wind energy as weed energy. He was ridiculed at that point of time but now people are realising that their Prime Minister is indeed way ahead of his time and it was his farsightedness that may have inspired Elon Musk.
