The Tirupati Balaji temple is popularly known to attract cash offerings to the tune of Rs 3 crore or more in addition to gold and other offerings on a daily basis, however during a certain period each year, the offerings witnesses a certain dip due to the restricted entry of pilgrims. While Tirupati Balaji has been among the highest earning temples of the world, another notable South Indian has managed to overtake it when it comes to annual earnings.

Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai, who hails from South India has reportedly earned 1,470 crores in the year FY 2019, thus making a daily average earning of about 4.02 crores, thus beating Tirupati Balaji by a few crores.

The Tirupati temple association is likely to take some measures such as removing the restriction of temple entry, accepting credit and debit card and launching a new mobile wallet for easy payments so as to increase its revenue and damage the market of Google Pay at the same time.

“What does he think of himself? He cannot beat us and become south India’s biggest treasure. Last month the Padmanabhaswamy temple tried beating us, now look at those losers! This Pichai will go down the drain. I will ask all our devotees to boycott Google,” said a furious priest at Tirupati.

While Sundar Pichai hasn’t made any statement on this subject yet, reports from internet users across the world suggest an open bias in the search engine results which now returns an array of Sundar Pichai’s pictures whenever ‘South India’s Treasure’ is is looked up. More on this awaited.
