Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while chairing a meeting over the ongoing crisis in Ukraine on Monday, decided to send four Union Ministers to Poland and Romania to oversee the evacuation of thousands of Indians, including students, who are still stuck there. Reportedly, opposition leader Shashi Tharoor too is joining the delegation going to Ukraine, however, Tharoor’s decision is against the party line.
The Fauxy sources suggest that Shashi Tharoor took the decision of personally overseeing the evacuation after pictures of Ukrainian models went viral on social media.
Reportedly, Ukraine govt has imposed curfew and no woman is allowed to leave house after the news of Shashi Tharoor reaching neighbouring countries of Ukraine.
Modi Govt has appreciated Shashi Tharoor for offering help during such trying times, while opposition has called Tharoor an opportunist.
