Recently a video of RJ Malishka interviewing Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra has gone viral, especially the part where she with other middle aged RJ was doing a vulgar dance in front of Neeraj Chopra and urges him for a tight hug, which made Neeraj Chopra quite uncomfortable.
While a majority of social media either trolled or criticised RJ Malishka, it had a different impact on Paralympic athletes who will be participating in Paralympics next week. As per the journalists covering Paralympics in Tokyo, more than 50% athletes have said that they might underperform to not get gold medal and escape such torture and sexual harassment which Neeraj Chopra had to go through.
Many have put the condition that they’ll get medal only if government ensures protection from RJs like Malishka.
