Years after rejecting NJAC, the SC today took various steps to further strengthen the collegium system to ensure that only their family and friends are in the judicial ecosystem and whoever condemns the system and appointment faces contempt of court. In one such step, the SC ordered the forgotten actor Chandrachud to do LLB at the earliest. The step is taken to ensure that the collegium system never runs short of chandrachud, like Congress never runs short of Gandhis.
Speaking to The Fauxy, actor Chandrachud said “Your hardwork never goes in vain, I acted as lawyer in Daag The Fire, I studied law that time.It feels all worth it today.” Emotional chandrachud further added “What nepotistic bollywood couldn’t give me, nepotistic collegium is giving me“.
Sources suggest, Chandrachud (actor) will be given preference in collegium from his early days in Judiciary to ensure his faster career growth, he could be next CJI after D Y Chandrachud.
