Owing to poor performance by Pakistan’s Cricket team, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Imran Khan has proposed to mortgage the team and all its accessories to IMF in order to get a bailout package for the country. Citizens of Pakistan found synergy with the PM’s idea and have agreed to the proposal. However, if sources are to be trusted, Pakistan’s cricket team is refusing to stand as a mortgage.
IMF has not gone through Pakistan’s proposal entirely but has given a nod to sanction around 10% of the loan amount that Imran Khan asked.
“Though they (Pakistan cricket players) are of no use but then Pakistan has nothing considerable to offer or submit as a mortgage. In such a situation, we have no other option but to accept whatever has been offered to us,” said a senior IMF official.
