Pakistan has launched a Coronavirus vaccine named ‘PakVac’ which will be manufactured in Pakistan. The vaccine is made with the assistance of the all-weather ally China to an extent that it is said to be a localised version of China’s CanSinoBio vaccine. Despite enough vials of vaccine Pakistan hasn’t yet started the vaccination owing to shortage of syringes.
Reportedly, Pakistan is waiting for China’s vaccination drive to get over so that used syringes can be utilised in vaccination Pakistan people.
Speaking to The Fauxy, Pakistan health minister Faisal Sultan said “We are setting an example of resource utilisation by taking an environment friendly decision of using the used syringes to vaccinate Pakistan awam. No country has done this yet we are the first to do so and UN must recognise it.”
Sources suggest reusing the syringes is likely to be the main subject of PM Imran Khan’s speech at next UNGA.
