Started a few days back, the boycott Tanishq trend doesn’t seem to end anytime soon, infact it has only intensified. People are now using their creative liberty to boycott the brand.
In a bizarre incident a groom has cancelled his marriage after realising that the jewellery he has got as dowry is of Tanishq. Virat, 28, a software engineer in Indore likes to identify himself as Virat Hindu and can often be seen standing for Hindus’ issues. Bride side is now trying to return the jewellery only to get it from a local jeweller.
Similar type of creative boycott incident was reported in Lucknow last week when a thief stole all the jewellery but didn’t touch Tanishq Jewellery as a mark of protest against it.
