New trend observed during Diwali; people marking their sonpapadi boxes with permanent markers

Mumbai. Diwali is a festival of lights, sound, and Soan Papdi. Soan papdi sales reach a record high during Diwali and the same is happening even this year. But the growing concern among people is that the boxes get transferred from one hand to other and no one actually opens the soan papdi boxes.

There is a household in Mumbai who have not even opened their 2016 box till now.

The soan papdi lovers association in Mumbai have come up with a solution for this. The person who gifts a soan papdi box to his/her friend should write the name on the box with permanent marker so that no one can pass it on to others and get embarrassed.

In fact the sale of permanent markers has increased 5 times. Most corporates are also using this technique while gifting soan papdi box to their employees.
