Mumbai Police Constable Suspended After Failing To Tweet Around A Trending Meme

A Mumbai Police constable was suspended for a month after he failed to carry out his duties to his utmost capabilities. Santosh Waghmare, 48, was posted near BKC Junction where he had absolutely nothing to do other than issuing challan to traffic rule offenders. Despite having all the time in the universe, Santosh failed to comply with another essential part of his duty i.e. making memes and then posting them on twitter.

A trending meme from a popular web-series Hostages, aired on Hotstar, shows a very interesting scene where Tisca Chopra is hiding from Ronit Roy. Soon it caught up as a meme template for social media users to showcase their creativity. The meme promptly became a trending topic on various social media platforms, however, the Mumbai Police account, which usually never fails to miss any meme or trend could not contribute to it.

“He had one job to do!” said a furious co-worker of Santosh.

Investigations revealed that Santosh, who was assigned to make memes for that day, got busy with issuing challans and tracking offenders, thus forgetting to make a meme. Santosh’s senior and the current head constable of his unit initially issued a show cause notice to Santosh but after Santosh failed to reply to even that, he was finally suspended. More details awaited.
