On Thursday Kolkata police arrested a man who was allegedly celebrating the fall of a Bangladesh wicket during the Bangladesh vs. Australia match of World Cup 2019.

Samir, a cricket enthusiast, doesn’t miss any match of the world cup and took off early from office to watch the contest between Bangladesh and Australia. During the second innings when Bangladesh was batting, Samir was seen celebrating after the fall of Bangladesh’s first wicket. Samir’s odd behavior got noticed by his family members who then reported the matter to the local police station.

Later, Police arrested him and called a press conference. Police told reporters that Samir’s social media account has many posts against Bangladesh and he often mocks the Mamata government. Police have also found proof of him of supporting India in a match against Bangladesh some time back. Details awaited
