During his recent trip to Germany, Congress President Rahul Gandhi severely slammed the Modi Govt and was quite vocal about their inefficiency in creating jobs. Rahul Gandhi pointed out that lack of jobs is the biggest problem the country is currently facing. Gandhi did not stop there and went on to add that the youngsters who fail to get jobs end up joining extremist groups like ISIS. Soon after his statement, Rahul Gandhi wasn’t only criticised but also ridiculed.
However, the recent news of an ISIS militant applying for mudra loan is a befitting reply to the people who roasted Rahul Gandhi. An RTI query on the number of people who have applied for Mudra Loans has surprisingly revealed that an ISIS militant too has applied for it. The lad has applied for a Rs. 1.7 crore loan and his application read “Applying for a loan to start a new business of dairy farming in Amethi.”
The incident of an ISIS militant applying for a Mudra Loan has taken a political turn and Congress is taking a dig at the current Govt, who was earlier rubbishing the claims of Rahul Gandhi. Congress spokesperson, Surjewala while addressing the media said: “If a militant is applying for a Mudra Loan it simply means that all these years he didn’t have a job, however, he was interested in working. If Modi had given him a job earlier, he wouldn’t have to resort to joining ISIS at all!”
“Rahul Gandhi has come of age” and similarly captioned articles have flooded the internet now and the Facebook page “Rahul Gandhi for PM” has got more than a million new likes overnight. Rahul Gandhi’s growing popularity is now the biggest threat to BJP and Congress.
