Indore: Hindu Sangathan Volunteers Demand Refund After Stand-up Comedian Didn’t Crack Any Joke On Religion

Faruqui, a comedian from Gujarat, was arrested along with four others on Saturday after Hindu Sangathan Volunteers complained against him for making jokes on Hindu Deities. Soon after the arrest various other volunteers of the Hindu Sangathan got active and booked tickets of other standup comedians to check if they demean or insult Hindu deities to gain popularity.
On Sunday, a standup comedian from Mumbai Saurav was performing at a cafe in Indore despite only eight tickets sold. Saurav didn’t crack a single joke on religion and almost all his jokes were on the current covid crisis. Soon after the completion of the show, the audience stood up, all eight of them, while Saurav was thinking it’s a standing ovation, these four people started demanding a refund. They revealed to Saurav that they are from Hindu Sangathan and came to the show only to check if he cracks any joke on religion. Saurav thought for the first time he got so many tickets sold and also getting a standing ovation but all down the drain.
