Yesterday, story of 80-year-old Kanta Prasad, popularly knows as Baba, who is under severe financial distress due to corona virus pandemic, went viral. Baba with his teary eyes told his story how lockdown and pandemic have put him under financial trouble. Soon after the story went viral thousands of Twitter users came forward to help the Baba. Users uploaded their selfies with the Baba and also encouraged others to donate by posting their online donation slip on Twitter and Instagram.
Many political leaders too reached the Baba and extended their help. People got shocked when they learned that an Income Tax Officer has also reached Baba Ka Dhaba, however, not for any audit but to have the delicious food and help the couple.
Speaking to The Fauxy, Income Tax Officer said “I went to Baba ka Dhaba as a customer and not as an auditor, however seeing the massive help Baba is getting I am sure he’ll come under at-least 10% tax slab this financial year”
