Gurugram Police Registers A Case Against Robert Vadra; Vadra Shows Police Station’s Land Papers

New Delhi: On Saturday, Gurugram Police registered an FIR against Robert Vadra and former Haryana Chief Minister BS Hooda in connection with a land fraud case. The case was registered at the Kherki Daula police station, which is built on a land that is allegedly owned by Vadra himself. The case was registered under IPC section 420, 411,323, 11F, 120B, 174 PC (and some random numbers with a suffixed alphabet).

Although the police have enough evidence they don’t wish to proceed further, primarily due to fear of losing the police station. The case is more complicated than it appears because even if the police presses charges, the local court’s land also falls under Vadra’s estate and in such a case there might be a possible judicial bias. Liberals were seen protesting against the case and trended hashtags like #MeTooSoniaKaDamad and #MeTooJijaJi were doing the rounds on Twitter.
