Government should also end “Pencil, Teri shadi cancel” practice, says Janhvi Kapoor

It was an important day in the Indian history as the parliament passed the bill to criminalize Triple Talaq practice. Not only Muslim women but the entire nation is celebrating this step towards equality, including our very own Bollywood. Jhanvi Kapoor, who has a very sensible take on important issues, too welcomed this remarkable move.

While Janhavi Kapoor applauded this step by the government, she wants PM Modi to also consider and abolish the old tradition of ‘Pencil, Teri shaadi cancel’, which is still practiced in many parts of India. She further said that even she was a victim of this regressive practice during her school days. Jhanvi had heard someone say the phrase ‘Pencil, Teri shaadi cancel’ and she is confused whether her marriage is actually cancelled and was she married in the first place. It’s too confusing for the Kapoor kid.

Jhanvi is very knowledgeable and it was proved when she uttered the famous ‘puppy matlab kutte ka chotta bacha na?’ So her inputs on important issues do matter. She, through the reporters of The Fauxy, urged Mr. Modi to soon introduce a bill to ban this practice and help children free from its mental trauma.

Team Fauxy is determined to try to convey her request to Mr. Modi and try to garner support for her noble thinking.
