Fatwa issued against Mehbooba Mufti for un-Islamic gesture – folding hands
Amidst rumors that the Government is going to get rid of the special status and the Article 35A in J&K, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti in a quick presser at her residence said, “Folding hands is not permitted in Islam but I am requesting my countrymen and the Prime Minister to not tinker with Article 35A”
A day later, fatwa was issued by a cleric against Mehbooba for “un-Islamic” gesture. However, Mehbooba didn’t take the fatwa seriously and said that it has nothing to do with religion and she’s just scared seeing what all is happening in the valley lately. She also said “this isn’t Modi’s India … wait it is”. She was in panic mode with all these talks about #OperationKashmir.
