On Monday, 29th, the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections began in 72 parliamentary constituencies spread across nine states. Early in the day, users flooded social media timelines with the news of booth capturing and poll rigging in West Bengal, while honest journalists chose to remain silent.
In one of the booth, where TMC workers were seen giving 5-star services to voters by escorting them to EVM machines and ensuring their safe return, Election Commission officers were caught watching the latest episode of the best web series ever made by mankind, i.e. Game of Thrones.
A reporter from The Fauxy spoke to one of the EC officers who said “See election comes and goes every now and then but Game of Thrones won’t come again. I mean this is the last season!” and started crying profusely. Another officer consoled him and said “I understand I am on election duty but what if spoilers of Game Of Thrones reach me..? So let me do what I feel is important!”
