On Friday morning, Cyclone Fani, one of the strongest storms, made landfall near Puri, India, at more than 120 miles per hour. This cyclone is expected to affect the lives of people living in Odisha, West Bengal, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a supportive message that the entire nation and his government are with the people in the cyclone hit states.
In spite of being a natural calamity, just because it’s happening during the election season, it is natural that Cyclone Fani will be a heated topic of discussion. Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal CM, who had to cancel her political campaigns due to the cyclone, is suspecting a conspiracy behind it. Mamata Banerjee in a subtle way said: “It’s bhery diphicult to believe that this cyclone is only in non-BJ P ruled states! Kichu golmaal aache!” She further added, “Modi is bhery powerful person he can do anything to win the election!”
Many opposition leaders were also seen agreeing with Mamata’s theory. Several alleged Modi of destroying the institutions like ISRO and the Indian Meteorological Department. One such leader tweeted that ISRO had cautioned a few scientists about the approaching cyclone but the matter was shushed by the central government. Since it is popularly known that PM Modi is very close to ISRO, BJP cannot deny that Cyclone Fani was indeed a properly chalked out plan of BJP to take the elections by the storm.
