A survey conducted by an independent social media agency has concluded that people who often take cab services cross-check the names of their cab drivers multiple times before initiating any political discussion.
The survey was carried out in all the four metro cities with more than 500 participating cabs drivers. The team that conducted the survey boarded a shared cab and tried to initiate a political discussion with fellow passengers, who were recorded checking the name of the cab driver at least once before giving their political opinion. It was found that customers who had a right-leaning were less expressive when the driver was from a minority community.
“I don’t know why people stop talking politics after checking their phone. I have updated my profile picture many times but it doesn’t work,” said one of the drivers from the special community.
The survey also reported that the cabs with an ‘Angry Hanuman’ sticker were increasingly boycotted by ‘intellectual’ passengers and the ones with ‘Jesus Loves You’ stickers were mostly avoided by Nuns and children.
