Modern-day smartphones pack in many features to make life easy for users. Some phone manufacturers are so focussed on providing extra features with their phones that they forget to put a sim card slot. Most phones nowadays have fitness apps like Step Count App, and Heartbeat Monitor app, etc. And that is the reason why a Mumbai man filed an FIR against one such company named Bava phones.

Bava phone in its latest phone was offering step counter to help its fitness freak users. But Shwetank Banerjee, a disabled man who is on his wheelchair filed an FIR against the company for providing step counter which he can never use or will never be able to use, hence, finds it a defamatory attempt by the phone company. The concern is genuine and the company should be sensitive enough for such type of users.

CEO Bava phones, Mr Balvinder Singh has apologized for the mistake and now have decided to recall all its phone and will handover the phones to its customers after deleting the apps that can hurt the sentiments of customers who are specially-abled. Shwetank is being seen as the poster boy of empowering the specially-abled category. Inspired from Shwetank, one more guy who is actually blind filed a case against a mobile company which was making colour displays, a part of every phone actually.
