Addressing a press conference about Chetan Bhagat’s next book launch, Chetan Bhagat’s manager, and one of the very few left in the country who still buys Chetan’s new books, revealed the name of the author’s upcoming book – ‘Best Selling’.
“Initially we contemplated titles like ‘Just Quarter’ and ‘Zero sense’ to go along with the previous titles having 5, 3, 2, 1 and a 1/2. After the ‘400 days’ didn’t sell even 400 copies, we changed our mind” the spokesperson revealed on the rationale behind the title.
In every interview in the past decade and a half, the author used to claim as the ‘best selling author’ in India. With his latest books not sold even for lighting fire, wrapping fish or Vada Pavs in railway stations, he took this radical decision, his friends and well wishers told The Fauxy.
After this book release, I will forever be ‘Best Selling’ author, the alleged author allegedly beamed at his publishers, who demanded some kind of compensation for the printing expenses along with the proofreading expenses. The author in turn promised ‘First day First show’ tickets for the movie ‘Best Selling’ starring Salman Khan, it was learnt by The Fauxy.
Following the suit, Tonny Kakkar has named his new song as ‘Song of the Year’ and asking to be released on the same day of the book release.
