After Aam Aadmi Party councilor from North-East Delhi, Mohammed Tahir Hussain’s role in the recent Delhi riots came under scrutiny, a BJP worker too has been summoned for questioning.
Tahir Hussain was accused of keeping stones, sticks and petrol bombs on his terrace. While Tahir Hussain was defended by liberal groups claiming he kept all this for self-defence, BJP supporters were seen divided over BJP worker’s act of keeping a matchbox in his terrace.
BJP worker said that he kept the matchbox in the terrace as he burns incense sticks and does chants of Surya Dev. Not satisfied with the justification, the liberal group has accused him of hate speech too, saying the terrace is common for all the tenants and since everyone has a different religion and practicing one’s religion in common terrace is similar to provoking people of other religion and also hurting the sentiments of people following other religions
