Bandra girl cancels wedding due to Kobe Bryant’s death
The retired Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, 41, and his daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash near Calabasas, Calif., on Sunday. The death sent shock waves across the world with fans mourning his death on social media.
Even in Bandra, a girl named Pooja Srivastava canceled her wedding after hearing about Kobe’s death. Pooja has never played basketball or even heard about the game but she was so touched by so many messages pouring in for Kobe that she thought it won’t be right to celebrate on a day when such a big star has passed away.
Pooja spoke to the fauxy and said “I had not heard about Kobe till today but from the messages on social media I figured out that he was a big celebrity. I also want to pay homage to Kobe so I have canceled my 120 Cr worth wedding. Money is not a big deal for me, but celebrities should be respected and I want to contribute towards society. I will now arrange a more expensive wedding after 2 days”
