Bengaluru: In an incident that occurred on October 23 at PVR Orion Mall during the screening of the Tamil movie Asuran, Actor Arun Gowda and his friends shamed four people for allegedly choosing to sit while the national anthem was being played.
Seeing the increase in the number of people who refused to stand during the national anthem, airline companies have decided to play the national anthem as soon as the plane lands.
Talking to the Fauxy, COO of Indigo airlines said “We are facing a big safety issue as people stand at the moment plane lands and it becomes difficult for air hostesses to make them keep seated. I am sure playing the national anthem will keep the seated. Although 52 seconds of national anthem isn’t enough time but by that time plane will have considerable reduction in its speed”.
Airline companies have sent the proposal to the government and government is likely to accept the proposal as it is related to people’s safety. Stay tuned.
