Rangolis are a big part of Diwali celebrations in India. Even HR departments of most companies promote rangolis in every Diwali. There are in fact competitions held to celebrate the art of coloring the floors.

HR people get emotional when they see any person with an ability to draw good rangoli. And this characteristic of a HR person helped Jagdish Malik land a job at a top IT company. Jagdish who was trying to get a job at TQS software was rejected for the 15th time in 2 years. He took some suggestions from friends and realized that learning how to make a rangoli can come to his rescue. He instantly learned it from youtube and gave a live demo outside the house of HR head of TQS.

He was given an offer letter there and there itself, although his rangoli was not perfect. The HR head said that his dedication for rangoli is enough proof of his good candidature and his rangoli art will improve with time.
