After Domino’s Data Leak, Starbuck Convinces Its Customer Not To Worry As All The Customer Records Have Spelling Mistakes
Popular Pizza brand Dominos has suffered data leak yet again. As per security experts, the data of 18 crore orders is available on the dark web. The leaked data contains phone numbers, email address, payment details and credit card details of users. After the data leak many of Dominos regular customers are hesitating in ordering.
Popular coffee chain, Starbuck has already reached out to its customers through its social media properties, convincing them not to be worried about the data leak as all the customers details have at least one spelling mistake making it almost impossible to search even if data gets leaked.
India head of Starbucks told The Fauxy, “Finally it helped. Starbucks has the policy of keeping dyselxic people at the counter so that they misspell the name on the orders and also in the database. Starbucks is the only chain today that isn’t worried about data theft“.
