The Congress party has yet again rejected Aam Aadmi Party’s proposal of forming an alliance in the national capital of New Delhi for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Earlier today, Delhi Congress chief Sheila Dikshit told reporters “A unanimous decision has been taken that there will be no alliance in Delhi!”
Arvind Kejriwal has been trying too hard to convince Congress to form an alliance in order to ensure that votes not in favour of BJP do not get split. However, all his efforts have gone down the drain since the senior leaders of Congress believe that their association with AAP will further damage their already impaired reputation.
AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, on the other hand, seems undeterred and is showing no sign of demotivation even after facing multiple rejections from Congress. In order to expedite the process of begging an alliance with Congress, AAP has decided to take things to a whole new level by announcing a ‘Statue of Request’ (folded hands) in front of the Congress Party National Head Quarter so as to request the party to form an alliance.
Currently, it is not clear who shall feature as the face of the statue, but going by his track record in pleading added to his megalomaniac traits, it is highly likely that it would be none other than Arvind Kejriwal himself.
