AAP MLA resigns from the party as he was offered Ministry

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is now picking new MLAs as the two new faces in the Delhi cabinet after after Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain resigned from their ministerial positions. While Sisodia is in CBI custody in the alleged Delhi liquor scam, Jain is in Tihar Jail on allegations of money laundering.

However, no MLA is interested in taking ministerial position seeing the condition of Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain. Earlier Delhi law minister Jitender Singh Tomar was arrested on on charges of allegedly submitting forged law degree.

Reportedly, the MLA resigned after he was threatened to accept the ministry or leave the party. “CM Arvind Kejriwal is looking for cabinet expansion without him taking any ministry, I was trying to hide in the group of MLAs but Kejriwal noticed and offered me ministry. Hence, I decided to resign” said the MLA under the condition of anonymity.

Sources suggest that Arvind Kejriwal is now looking outside his party for ministerial candidates and is likely to offer the ministries to BJP MLAs who are sitting in opposition.
