Motivated by the idea of Atma Nirbhar, self-reliance, a group of four 3rd year engineering students has invented world’s first sun protected solar water heater. Students of Technocrats Institute of Technology, Jabalpur, chose to invest their lockdown time in inventing something that can be useful for a common man.
After one group member’s father got some burn injuries while handling solar water heater, he suggested his group to design a solar water heater which is sun protected so it doesn’t get heated up.
Speaking to The Fauxy, group leader Tanmay said “Mother is the invention of Necessity. We have designed this after seeing many people getting injured while touching the solar heater. It doesn’t get you hot water but then you have to sacrifice something to gain something”
Team has decided to start the human trial of their sun protected solar water heater once the winter starts and they have asked people to volunteer for the same and till now they haven’t received any application.
