Delhi witnesses further dip in temperature as no buses torched by protestors off late

National Capital continues to shiver as it recorded its coldest day of the season. On Saturday, at 6.10 am, the temperature plummeted to 2.4 degrees Celsius, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The national capital is all set to witness the coldest New Year’s Eve as heavy downpour is expected in the city, according to the Met department.

IMD officials say that the temperature rose a bit after anti-CAA protesters torched buses in the capital. However, after strict action by the police against the violent mob, the protestors turned silent and didn’t torch any bus for the last few days and hence there was no counter to the dipping temperature.

IMD has requested the government to present more controversial bills in its winter session so that the country witnesses more protests and protestors torch buses to increase the temperature. It has also asked the government to keep more buses in the area where the temperature is lowest. IMD has also requested if a protest is observed in summer session then Police should be advised to use water cannon to counter the heat.
