In the agitation and protest against the amended Citizenship Act, many states of the country witnessed violence and public properties were set ablaze by protestors. West Bengal, North East and Delhi were among the states which witnessed maximum violence. Amidst this violence, not a single act of violence has been reported in the state, which has always been infamous for riots and communal violence.
Reportedly, UP CM Yogi was waiting to know that violence has been reported so that he can take action to maintain the secular fabric of the country. Earlier during a protest against Padmavat, while many states witnessed violence in the state, UP witnessed a contrast and protestors were seen with roses.
