Trains Delayed On International Yoga Day As People Get On To Train Tracks To Perform Yoga

New Delhi: Yoga enthusiasts from Isha Yoga Centre, right next to the New Delhi railway station, gathered on railway tracks on the eve of International Yoga Day 2019 to spread the message of Yoga and its benefits. Currently it is not clear as to why these people chose rail tracks of all places to perform Yoga, but a reporter from The Fauxy reached out the head-instructor and Yoga master Mr. Singh for his comments:
“How often do you lose your train of thought in a day? Are you a train wreck? Do you want to blow off some steam from your hectic life? Yoga helps you get back on track! You just need the right Yoga training and you’re on-board for a splendid experience!” said Puninder Singh, the Yoga master.
While the Yoga event on the rail tracks seemed to have garnered a lot of attention from the local as well as international media, Railway authorities didn’t seem too excited about it:
“It is totally off-the-rails to perform Yoga on the train tracks. First Namaz and now Yoga, why don’t people have any sense of respect for public space?” said an agitated Goyal, the ticket collector of a train which got delayed due to the Yoga special on tracks.
Liberals as well as right-wingers across India are currently confused whether they should hold back or outrage on the issue and so is the Indian Railways’ Twitter handle. After getting flooded with several complaints from passengers whose trains got delayed due to International Yoga Day on tracks, the helpless Indian Railways’ Twitter handle is now responding with a video that features Asanas to control rage. More on this awaited.
