SBI Fires Employee For Playing PUBG During Lunch Time

Mumbai: Lunchtime is the lifeline of PSU bank branches. Employees are seen eating lunch left, right and centre. But the craze of PUBG made one employee break all the norms and try out the game during the sacred lunch hour. He ended up paying heavily for it by losing his job.

The SBI management in a Mumbai branch fired Shwetank Srivastava, a long-time employee of the PSU for playing PUBG. The management was very clear about the principles in place at their office, one cannot play any games during lunchtime. Lunchtime is not playtime. It has to be respected.

There are times when the employees make bank customers wait in a queue and continue having lunch with their office colleagues. It is seen as a tool of bonding and camaraderie among the branch employees. It is holy in all aspects.

The Fauxy’s reporter spoke to Shwetank and he had this to say, “I am not a fan of PUBG, it’s just that I had heard a lot about the game and just wanted to see what it’s all about. I had just played it for 5 minutes and when I turned around, my boss was standing behind me. I apologized for the mistake and want to request the management to give me another chance at the job.”
More details awaited.
