Two days after President-elect Donald Trump officially announced the formation of the Department of Government Efficiency—a new department aimed at reducing spending and regulations—Indian govt employees have begun protesting in anticipation of a similar department in the Indian government. During the protest, the bureaucrats argued that this is against our work culture and ethics and we will not let such department in India and will not sign/stamp the related documents. However, some bureaucrats chose not to participate, stating, “We aren’t worried about any such department because it will also be headed by a government-appointed person.”
