In one of the largest seizures of banned firecrackers this year, the police on Thursday said they have arrested a man who was buying banned firecrackers ahead of Diwali.
However, the man was later released after he clarified that all the banned firecrackers he bought weren’t for Diwali but terrorist attack. The man quoted the Delhi High Court order of ban of firecrackers for Diwali and not in general.
Police apologised to the person for their mistake and released him after gifting him a bouquet. Stay tuned for full story.
