NASA, the national space agency of the U.S., on Monday released a black and white satellite imagery of India ahead of Eid 2022 (Eid Al-fitr), cautioning people against the fake image in circulation on the social media.
“The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on the Suomi NPP satellite captured this day-time view of India. The red part of the image shows Rooh Afza production.” NASA said releasing a picture of India on this Eid.
A similar image was released last year on Eid al-Adha (Bakrid). That time too the map has a majority of part in red colour which NASA claimed to be blood of goats being sacrificed on the occasion of Bakrid.
